Toowoomba Repertory Theatre One Act Play Competition by Catherine Cox

With aspirations to write my own short films I decided to enter into the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre one act play competition.
It is the first time I have written a script since Basis in Fact back in 2002. I have tried to do something a little quirky and just a little bit funny.
The winning three plays will be shown at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in the latter balf of the month. I think it is a great way the the theatre company to get some fresh new content. I have no doubt there will be a great assortment of entries, some from experiencedprofessional playwrights
It was great practice in writing a stage play and so much fun just writing something creative. I took my new Macbook Air virtually everywhere I went and used those opportunities to write and rewrite my drafts. I very much appretiate the family and writing collegues that took the time to read my script and give me feedback.
